There are many regions in NationStates - only one is called NationStates... 
The region was invaded and left to die, but a few brave souls are seeking to rebuild and revive it - surely this of all regions deserves a second chance. Delegate position is open, so it's a good place for those of you who want to get involved in UN politics to get a break.
Invaders not welcome: we have ties of friendship to much more powerful regions who will come to our aid if you try anything...
