AoSS is the home to a spectrum of left-progressive states. ranging from social democrats to anarcho-communists. The region is run on a democratic basis (we even have a Minister for Democracy to ensure free an fair elections and to monitor other elected officials for abuses of power). We have alliances with other broadly progressive regions for mutual defence and exchange of ideas and information, and work within the UN system to promote peace and social justice.
