It was I, Lonsdale, who, earlier this week, was able to conduct a revealing interview with the president of the Freedom Alliance, a group that just turned a year old. Musez (also known as Spaceisland) while a founding member of the Freedom Alliance, became its latest president after a recent election.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] You've been recently elected President of the Freedom Alliance. How did that election go?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] Well, let me first thank you and the nations of NetWorkRadio for this interview, you do good work in bringing us news and interviews. As to your question, the election was somewhat long due to a draw. You see, we initially had 5 members running for President, with myself and another nation drawing. After our playoff vote, I tipped a victory by 2 votes. Campaigning went well throughout, I laid out a list of pledges which went down well with members hence winning me the Presidency.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] Can you explain the Freedom Alliance election process?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] Yes, every 6 weeks we have an election. Any member of the FA can run for President. We have a poll on our website which is open for 48 hours ususally.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] What are the roles and powers of a Freedom Alliance president?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] The role of the President is to select a Cabinet to carry out the tasks which he pledged to do when campaigning. The President is at the top of the tree, followed by his Advisors, then Ministers all the way down to new members.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] Can you tell us about the reforms that you are said to be pushing for the Freedom Alliance?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] Oh yes, and I'm glad you asked. When I was elected President, the FA was on the brink of division. We had had a spy working to cause us trouble, and this spy had made friends within the alliance which could have cause a split. My immediate job was to ensure that it was this nation who was punished, and keeping our common goal of democracy for all known to unite us.
As for physical reforms, I pledged to: create a military, sort out our immigration problem, create a national FA flag, create an FA constitution and finally to spearhead a new recruitment initiative. I am pleased to report that we have achieved (or are in the process of achieving) 4 out of 5 of those pledges. The only thing yet to be achieved is a formal military. Our constitution and flag was recently selected by majority vote of FA members. I am in talks with the relatively new governments of North Alerica and the CIA about their role as members of the FA.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] What is the Freedom Alliance's position on the USSR-Entente conflict? Do you believe the rumors of an AA involvement?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] My immediate concern is that of sorting out the FA so that we can be an alliance to defend democratic regions from groups such as the AA and other tyrants. The Freedom Alliance's position is that the popular government of the native nations within a region should remain no matter what, as is our position on any individual case.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] Historically the Freedom Alliance was the Atlantic's first real enemy. Can you describe that conflict, how it began, and the state of your relations when it ended?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] Indeed it was the biggest battle that the FA had ever seen. The FA had been in the region of Iraq for around 2 weeks. We had liberated the founderless region by stopping the regions many tyrants from gaining the delegateship.
Shortly after that liberation, myself and the Co-Founder of the FA, Andistine, were shocked to learn of Iraq's increased size and new delegate. It was clear we had been invaded, the question at that time was, by who? We of the FA had liberated 2 regions previously and had never encourtered an invasion against our own forces. We were soon to learn it was the ACC, who provided us with a link to their professional website. Soon we began our excellent intelligence probe and recieved the password to the Iraq region (which had been imposed by the ACC delegate). I shall not reveal how we got the password as the same methods are still employed by FA intelligence. We kicked out the ACC and restored peace to Iraq on the 5th of May 2003. Our relations with the ACC were, understandibly, frosty. Andistine and I vowed to thwart their attempts of invasion in other regions, however many problems then hit the alliance stalling our operations.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] What was the Freedom Alliance's reaction to the dissolution of the Atlantic Alliance?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] The FA is glad to see that a region crashing alliance has now learned that they cannot bully the NS world into submission - as nowadays there are many FA-syled organisations who prefer liberation as to the evil road of empire.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] What was your reaction?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] Again I am happy that they are obsolete. However I had been hoping to mark the Iraq anniversary with them in some manner. I hope their implosion will be a lesson to others that empire and imperialism will never last in the NS world.
The FA started shorly before the ACC - both followed very different paths, one of democracy and one of empire, so I ask you, who wins in the end?
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] It is said many former Atlantic Alliance members are congregating in other organizations, such as the Black Guard. How will the Freedom Alliance choose to handle this?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] The ACC members are now dispersing into smaller groups. It is my personal prediction that these groups will amount to nothing significant. If the ACC cannot survive, what chance do smaller groups of the same ideology have?
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] Any comment on the desire for some FA members to "get back to" region liberation? Will the FA be heading towards this under your presidency?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] Most definately. I cannot make further comment on operations, you understand. I would ask that you keep your eyes pealed throughout my presidency though.
[GLOW=PURPLE,2,300]LONSDALE:[/GLOW] Would you live any last comments for us, sir?
[GLOW=ORANGE,2,300]MUSEZ[/GLOW] I would like to thank you for this opportunity, and I tell all democratic regions to stay strong, and I tell the oppressors of the world, watch out!
