This is Jerome Hawkins with WorldNews and this weeks weekreport.
Much has happened this week and we will try to get a short summary about that.
As usual we have had a lot of wars that we have covered. We also have hunted down the NSFL and asked him some questions.
The first issue of today is Smithanian_Federation who seems to have settled some score with A better world for meddling in Alpha Centauri. Read more about the happenings in Alpha Centauri in the old broadcast Ackbar Redux: Invasion or Civil War? Alpha Centauri
A more interesting note on this story is the telegram I recived a couple of hours ago from
The Great Wastelands
who wrote about using us, the reporters, for their dirty work. Here is the Great Wastelands telegram:
"I just wanted to give you the inside scoop/follow up on a few of the posts on your website. In regards to the invasion of "A better World" a few weeks ago, it has been completed. Someone from your region messaged me when this first occured, asking why I was spamming their board. It worked out, and 3 UN nations were able to sneak in without notice. We were then able to gain the confidence of Silverclouds and eventually Regional Control. The region has been destroyed - This was done as a message to those who would cross the Smithanian Federation. This attack was a retaliation in response to so called "Freedom Fighters" taking Alpha Centauri from the Smithanian Federation's grasp. After slowly infiltrating the region, the Smithanian Federation gained control and ejected all nations from the Region. Next target
The Great Wastelands"
It is sad how we can be used sometimes. But we are aware of that we are relativly well known and that evil minded people may use us for as tool for their dirty work. However, we do try to minimize the risks for every broadcast we make.
More of the news tonigth is the interview with FalasturuFalastur from the Falastur Alliance who has been part of atlest 2 wars joining up with the defenders. Read more about it at these three broadcasts Jerome Hawkins: Todays news 3 october, Jerome Hawkins: Tying the lose threads, Jerome Hawkins: Regions 3ViL 1337 and Monte Carlo
We meet at the the WorldNews office and after some good coffe we started the interview.
Jerome Hawkins Could you tell me more about your region?
Falastur My region, the Falastur Alliance, is a small-ish, casual region for anyone who wants to be there. It was originally a region where I could have my countries, puppets included of course, to stay peacefully away from the rat-race of the NS politics. However, eventually, one of my friends, a reformed NS Mafia member, arrived, and around that point, I realised that it would be pretty good to allow anyone to be there, if they wanted to. Since then, it has mainly turned into a region where I can keep in contact with my Allies, through other nations of theirs, however, I would never rule out the offer of any nation joining, if they wanted.
Jerome Hawkins How come you have an alliance with the Elite Ghosts?
Falastur It's a little bit of a long story, but to keep it short, I used to keep an eye on the NS Mafia, and, a couple of months ago was forced to watch helplessly as they invaded 2 regions in short succession, both that incidentally The SAS's former main-country was residing in. I hinted to him why his regions might have seemed like targets, and in return, we got talking. He joined Falastur Alliance for a short while before creating his own region, "Secret Intelligence Service", which no longer exists. However, in it's place stands his new region, "The Elite Ghosts". And that is the long and the short of it.
Jerome Hawkins Wich more regions do you have alliances with?
Falastur I have no other Alliances with regions for the purpose of defending regions, however, I have a number of friends in NS, whos regions I consider Allies because those friends are there. But none of these compare to the Alliance I have with the Elite Ghosts at the moment.
Jerome Hawkins You mentioned earlier, before the interview, that you wanted to start your own defender wing. Why have you postponed such an creation and what would it be called if you did made one?
Falastur I've planned the creation of "Falastur Defense Force" for a week or two now. The plan is little more than a plan, and I am still unsure whether I could manage to get the interest that I would need to make a useful region. I'm not a great recruiter, and so I rarely take opportunities to recruit to the full, therefore I wonder if I would struggle with numbers for the group.
Jerome Hawkins What do you think about the aggressors that you have fought during the last two battles?
Falastur Good question. There is currently a great rivalry between the Elite Ghosts and the invaders of 0000000000 - who last time I looked were from "the coalition" I think, although they move quite a lot. I picked sides, and thus I see "the coalition", or whatever it is now known as, as a group of region crashers who I aim to stop from gaining victory in any region. However, I don't think of them as anything like idiots, or malicious greifers, merely rivals in NS. As for the other aggressors, from both invaded regions, once again I merely see them as a threat to regional freedom. No hard feelings, but you've got to have a rival or two....
Jerome Hawkins Is there anything you would like to add??
Falastur Only one thing....in the interests of research, it'd be good if anyone who is interested in the possible Falastur Defense Force to send me a telegram in game, or a message here to let me know. Obviously, if I raise the interest, then I can create the group, and we will hopefully be able to have many more meetings with you at NS Radio. That's about all, thanks. Good talking with you.
Jerome Hawkins Thank you for your time Falastur. It was most enlightning. I wish you well on your future endevours.
Falastur A pleasure to help.
