Try this newpacificorder.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=region&thread=1073544901&action=display&start=30Tar A, a big NPO groupie, says she got the news direct from FS that Savage turned in mid-Dec, about the time he started his attack in the WP. A couple of pages later Unlimited, a high ranking member of the NPO, confirms this. But of course you saw all this, seeing as the thread is titled South Pacific, on the very forum of the NPO regarding one of the most controverisal episodes in NS history. I indeed read that thread, but the evidence you're pointing to is circumstantial. I needed a direct link to the action itself - without a smoking gun, linking it to the NPO would have been, and still is, speculation.

There's the rub, init? The NPO isn't going to be posting that sort of info out in the open so you never get the direct link. Unlimited isn't about to talk to you, I suspect neither is Tar A, so you don't get the statement either. Shame, eh?
From the rest of that thread, and the facts we do know, Savage was either NPO from the begining (or close to it anyway) or he turned sometime in Dec. Was it right before or right after he started his WP attack? And remember he went straight from the RR where Norion dumped his sorry arse to the South Pacific, where he and FS attempted another quicki takeoever (and that was the key - quick - because Savage was leaving to get married; otherwise why the desperate gamble and the stupid mistake of using Fsend instead of a third party).
Did Savage have a 'revelation' after being kicked from the WP and go over to the NPO at that point? And to follow a very close MO (quick attack while pretending diplomacy)?
There is a difference between speculation and deduction, after all...

There is a difference between speculation and deduction, after all... And that's exactly what this discussion forum is for. Folks like yourself can bring up interesting questions like this one, and hopefully someone else can respond meaningfully to this point (as opposed to what I'm doing . )
